Supply Chain Management / Training – Concepts and Application

Theme

Supply chain management has emerged as probably the most performance critical competitive concern in businesses across the world. If one limited it to only concerns of logistics the gains to be made are likely to be marginal, but applied to core planning for integration of supply chain it can create a world beating competitive edge. Missed, this would be a pitfall and impossible barrier to breakthrough achievement of any kind.

The central idea of supply chain management is seamless integration of all the processes leading to delivery to the customer involving inbound and outbound processes. The workshop covers the processes of inbound activities through to the outbound activities in details. Each link of the supply chain requires a planning perspective. The outbound requirements reflect the reality of proximity to the customer while the inbound processes require tuning to the manufacturing processes. There are vital issues of planning philosophy and integration of information systems.

The program deals with all the relevant technical and operational concerns covering supplies, manufacturing and distribution of the finished good in perspective of costs and service
